Maridon Museum

Maridon is the only museum in the Western Pennsylvania region specializing in Asian culture, including art objects from China and Japan.

The museum buildings contain classrooms and multi-purpose spaces appropriate for school groups and children's organizations. Docents are available to provide young people with orientation to the museum. Contact the museum to arrange for the classroom to be used and for an orientation.

The museum is fortunate to have a relationship with the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Asian Studies. This relationship enables the Maridon to draw upon the academic expertise of Pitt's Asian Studies faculty and the Center's capability to bring prominent Asian artists, writers, performers, and subject matter specialists to the U.S. The Center also offers diverse outreach programs for the general public and school students.
