Foxburg, PA 16036
Tucked into a grove of ancient oaks, high above the gentle Allegheny, our beautiful log clubhouse commands an imposing view of the river below.
Built in 1912 as a private residence, it was acquired by the Country Club in 1942 for $5,000. It houses the American Golf Hall of Fame Museum on the second floor. Here, visitors will find a priceless collection of artifacts and exhibits that depict the 400-year history of golf.
The American Golf Hall of Fame comprises three rooms featuring a priceless collection of early golf clubs. Here you will find examples of golf clubs built by such storied names as McEwan, Anderson, Forgon, and Hugh Philip, who was considered the premier club builder of his time.
In 1819, Philip was appointed as official clubmaker to the Society of Golfers, which later became The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. You will also find clubs built by the legendary "Old Tom Morris", four-time winner of the British Open, Custodian of the Links at St. Andrews, and the man who introduced the game of golf to Joseph Mickle Fox.
Foxburg Country Club
Foxburg Country Club welcomes you to play our historic nine-hole course, which is open to the public from April 1 to October 31. They offer special rates to visitors on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through a two-person discount, as well as additional discounts after 1:00 PM to weekend and holiday visitors.
The Pro Shop accepts all major credit cards. It offers a good selection of logo clothing and other items for souvenir hunters. While there is no restaurant on the premises, we serve the finest gourmet hot dogs anywhere!
The golf course isn't long, but don't let that fool you. Their fairways are narrow, the rough is deep, and the greens are small and fast.
