Braddock Road Preservation Association

The land within a 20-mile radius of the sites of Dunbarís Camp and Jumonville Glen stands today as one of the richest in American history. Here, George Washington began the first true "world war " and fought his first battles.

Here lie the remains of British Major-General Edward Braddock and countless artifacts of his grand army. Traces of the first National Road, with its weigh stations, stagecoach stops, and toll houses, are also present.

The Braddock Road Preservation Association stands ready to champion these sites for their historic importance and the magnificent story they tell about who we were and who we are as Americans.

The annual French and Indian War seminar at Jumonville, presented by the Braddock Road Preservation Association, is held on the first Friday and Saturday of November. It is now the largest annual meeting in Pennsylvania and one of the largest in the US.
