Bullskin Township Historical Society was established in 1996. Society's sole purpose and mission is to restore and preserve the Heritage and History of Bullskin Township for future generations.

Bullskin Township Historical Society maintains several historical projects. One of their projects is the Restoration of the Historic Mount Vernon Iron Furnace located along Mounts Creek in Wooddale, PA.
