Western Pennsylvania Museum Council

The Western Pennsylvania Museum Council is a non-profit consortium (formerly the Greater Pittsburgh Museum Council), established in 1984. Its members are museums, foundations, historical societies, and other non-profit managing organizations based in Western Pennsylvania that provide public educational and history preservation services.

The Western Pennsylvania Museum Council coordinates members' cooperation, education, and development. Museums work collaboratively to increase the awareness of and attendance at the diverse museums of Western Pennsylvania. 

The Western Pennsylvania Museum Council supports regional museum professionals and volunteers by providing resources, professional development and networking opportunities.
