The Kane Depot Preservation Society was formed in 1995 to acquire and preserve the old Pennsylvania Railroad Station in Kane, PA.
Today, the Kane Historic Preservation Society, transformed from the Kane Depot Preservation Society (a group of enthusiasts known as “Depot Boys”), operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under a volunteer board of directors and with the support of community volunteers, members, and donors.

The Kane Depot was built in 1873. An extension was made to the original building in 1890. The first railroad to operate through the depot was the Philadelphia/Erie Railroad.
Kane Memorial Chapel is a small stone building employing architectural elements common to both the Early Gothic Revival and the later High Victorian Gothic styles of American architecture.
