The Wilder Museum has many historical artifacts that will fascinate any visitor. The collection includes Bentwood furniture, a Seneca exhibit, Native American artifacts spanning 8,000 years, a one-handed clock invented in Warren, women in World War II, furnishings from the Irvine-Newbold Estate, including a two-person vacuum, turn-of-the-century transportation and fashion, and the Joe DeFrees firearms collection.

Offering more than 20 exhibits, visitors may tour with one of our friendly docents or explore independently.

The Clinton E. Wilder Historical Museum was established in 1990 by Chairman Robert O. Wilder during the 75th anniversary celebration of National Forge to honor the company's founder. A number of permanent exhibits display the history of the company, its people, and its products.

There are displays of various awards for excellence received by National Forge, a WWII exhibit, and the coveted Army/Navy "E" awards. Some sports memorabilia of the many forms of athletic endeavors undertaken by Company teams are also exhibited. Clinton E. Wilder was a baseball fan and established a National Forge semi-pro team whose championship trophies are also exhibited.

The product rooms display a few items currently or formerly manufactured by National Forge. The many scrapbooks and the product room containing photos of people and products are of particular interest to Company employees and retirees.

Additionally, items of local and historical interest are displayed. Exhibits of local artists, collectors, and craftspeople are also offered for public viewing.
