Offering more than 20 exhibits, visitors may tour with one of the friendly docents or explore independently.
The Clinton E. Wilder Historical Museum was established in 1990 by Chairman Robert O. Wilder during the 75th anniversary celebration of National Forge to honor the company's founder. Several permanent exhibits showcase the company's history, its people, and its products.
There are displays of various awards for excellence received by National Forge, a World War II exhibit, and the coveted Army/Navy "E" awards. Some sports memorabilia from the various athletic endeavors undertaken by Company teams is also exhibited. Clinton E. Wilder was a baseball fan and established a National Forge semi-pro team whose championship trophies are also displayed.
The product rooms display a few items that were or are currently manufactured by National Forge. The numerous scrapbooks and the product room, which contain photos of people and products, are of particular interest to Company employees and retirees.
Additionally, items of local and historical interest are displayed. Exhibits of local artists, collectors, and craftspeople are also offered for public viewing.
