French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society

French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society collects, organizes, describes, preserves, and makes available records and items related to the railroad history of Crawford County, its residents, and related items. The organization's goal is to serve research and scholarship by making the collection available and encouraging the use of the collection by members of the organization and the community at large.

French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society accepts donations of railroad items of historical significance related to the railroads of Crawford County, with the understanding that our storage space is minimal. They also work with the Crawford County Historical Society to help organize and preserve its extensive collection of Erie and Erie-Lackawanna Railroad items.

In addition, the French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society provides education, networking, and support for developing and continuing the society and museum. Through public speaking, publications, and visual advertising, it also educates the public about the history of the railroad industry and the people who made it survive in Crawford County.

The Society is committed to supporting the development goals of its museum so that all future generations will be able to study and understand the history of the railroad industry in Crawford County.
