Memorial Fund

Contributions to the Memorial Fund (tax-deductible) are used for upkeep and beautification beyond basic maintenance.

Keeping the history and heritage alive

Unlike many other historic places, Allegheny Cemetery receives no outside financial support and completely depends on property sales, investments, and gifts for its preservation. Therefore, we have established several methods for those interested in gifts either in their own name or as a tribute to another.

  • Allegheny Cemetery Historical Association (tax-deductible)
This non-profit organization funds historic renovation, educational programs, and tours.
  • Allegheny Cemetery Memorial Fund (tax-deductible)
Contributions to the Memorial Fund are used for upkeep and beautification beyond basic maintenance.
  • The Memorial Bench Program
Granite benches are located throughout the Cemetery and are inscribed with the names of those honored or remembered.
  • Memorial Plaques
A loved one may be honored with a plaque under one of Allegheny's many stained-glass windows.
  • Endowment Plan
All owners are urged to consider a private endowment to ensure individual property care. This may include floral remembrances, marker and monument cleaning, unique plantings and landscape care, and other special touches.
