Bradys Bend

The Bradys Bend Township area was once a major industrial center and much more densely populated than it is now.

Thousands of people came to the area seeking work during a relatively short period in the latter half of the nineteenth century. They left behind a wealth of family histories, memorabilia, and customs from many parts of Europe.

The Bradys Bend Historical Society has collected oral histories, compiled cemetery records, and serves as a clearinghouse for those seeking information about their ancestors' lives in the area.

Both St. Stephen's Old Stone Church and the Brady's Bend Iron Furnaces are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
