Jeannette

Anointed as a "Glass City," the City of Jeannette was a hub for glass manufacturing and industrial activity, sometimes also referred to as "An American Workshop." It became a leader in glass production and continued to drive industrial innovation.

Like many towns in Western Pennsylvania, Jeannette has lost some of its industrial base, but fortunately, they have retained a substantial portion of its business and industry. New businesses have been moving into Jeannette, and there have been significant expansions in existing facilities.

Because of this, along with our new Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy and Business Redevelopment Plan, we are a City moving forward for the betterment of our community. The City of Jeannette offers business opportunities, entertainment and recreational facilities, cultural and educational advantages, and a safe environment in which to live and work.

The Jeannette community welcomes all visitors to their fine city and hopes you will enjoy their hospitality. You will find that a melting pot of many heritages, and residents are proud of their city's history.
