Yellow Creek State Park

Yellow Creek State Park is one of the most visited places in the county of Indiana, PA. 

Opportunities

Boating: Non-powered boats and boats up to 10 horsepower are permitted.

Fishing: The lake is well stocked with most warm water game fish and panfish typically found throughout the Commonwealth. These include smallmouth and largemouth bass, walleye, muskellunge, northern pike, tiger muskellunge, yellow perch, bluegill and catfish.

Laurel Run, Yellow Creek and Little Yellow Creek are stocked with brown and brook trout and provide excellent trout fishing. Pennsylvania Fish Commission laws apply. Fishing is not permitted in the swimming area, from boat launching docks or from the dam.

Hiking: Three trails are available for hiking. Laurel Run Trail is a .5-mile loop which starts along PA Route 259 near the U.S. Route 422 entrance to the park.

Ice Boating: Ice boating is permitted on the lake provided the boat displays a State Park launch permit. Ice boats are not available for rental.

Ice Skating: One area of the lake is maintained for ice skating. This is located near the boat rental building in the Beach/Day-Use Area.
