Lisa Ferrugia joined the Hunt Institute in June 2000 as a half-time archival assistant and half-time editorial coordinator for the Flora of North America project. In the Archives, she assists Assistant Archivist Angela Todd in maintaining the Institute's collection of botanical papers and biographical files.
She spends the rest of her time in the Flora of North America office, where she is learning editorial duties, which include tracking FNA treatments, contacting potential authors and reviewers, and working with current authors, reviewers, and other FNA staff to ensure that manuscript processing proceeds efficiently and on schedule from initial submission through page and galley proofs. Lisa recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.A. in creative writing. She enjoys reading and gardening in her spare time.
