Keystone State Park

The Keystone State Park consists of 1,169 acres in Westmoreland County. The 78-acre Keystone Lake was constructed in the early 1900s to supply water for a coke plant located several miles downstream. The first 796 acres of park land were acquired from the Keystone Coal and Coke Company in 1945. Project 70 produced an additional 219 acres from the Atlantic Crushed Coke Co. and 154 acres from the Benedictine Society.
