Packsaddle Covered Bridge

Packsaddle (Pack Saddle) Covered Bridge, also known locally as the Doc Miller Bridge, stretches 48 feet in length and 14 feet in width, crossing over Brush Creek in Fairhope Township, Somerset County. Built in 1870 (unknown builder) over a waterfall, it features a Multiple Kingpost truss design with cut stone abutments and remains open to vehicle traffic.

On January 19, 1996, the bridge sustained significant damage during a flood, but was restored in 1998, preserving its historic structure and function. Today, it is owned and maintained by the County, continuing to serve as both a practical crossing and a valuable piece of local heritage.
